“Economics and Sustainability” Workshop – Programme and registration

The Autorité de la concurrence will host a workshop in Paris on Monday, 5 October 2026, focusing on methods for valuing environmental benefits and harms and their application to competition analysis.

The event will bring together academics, practitioners and representatives of public institutions to share perspectives and experience. Three panels will explore the challenges of incorporating sustainability considerations into competition analysis, the methods used in practice, and the new perspectives emerging from academic research.

Participants will include representatives from the Dutch, Japanese and Australian competition authorities, alongside practitioners and academics.

The discussions will be held in English.

A policy-oriented panel discussion setting the scene for the debate and introducing the key issues for participants less familiar with the topic.
