Presentation of the decision

Aux termes de la décision ci-après, l’Autorité de la concurrence rejette la saisine au fond de la société CEDIV TRAVEL (ci-après « le CEDIV ») et de cinquante-cinq agences de voyages adhérentes pour défaut d’éléments probants et, partant, la demande de mesures conservatoires accessoire à la saisine.

Le CEDIV est une société coopérative regroupant des agences de voyages principalement actives dans le secteur du voyage de tourisme.

Following an investigation lasting several months, the Autorité today issues its opinion on the competitive situation on the island.

The Autorité carried out an in-depth analysis of the level of economic concentration in four sectors: maritime services to Corsica, fuel distribution, food distribution in supermarkets and hypermarkets and waste management.

L’Autorité de la concurrence a été saisie par le ministre de l’économie d’une demande d’avis sur le niveau de concentration des marchés en Corse et son impact sur la concurrence locale. Cette saisine visait à éclairer les pouvoirs publics sur différentes questions de concurrence, en lien notamment avec le sujet du pouvoir d’achat des habitants, qui constitue de longue date un sujet de préoccupation en Corse.
