The General Rapporteur of the Autorité de la concurrence states that
unannounced inspections were carried out on February 18th in the sector of fire safety systems
equipping businesses and buildings receiving the public.

> French version

On February 18th, following authorisation from the liberty and custody judge, the investigation services of the Autorité de la concurrence raided companies suspected of having implemented anti-competitive practices in the sector of fire safety systems equipping businesses and buildings receiving the public.

Such interventions do not, of course, prejudge the guilt of the companies involved in the alleged practices, which only a full investigation into the merits of the case could establish, if appropriate.

If the Autorité decides that there are no grounds to further investigate or closes the case to the benefit of the raided companies, it will inform the public thereof through a press release.

The investigation services of the Autorité de la concurrence
Due to the principle of separation between the investigative and the decision-making processes, the investigation services have been placed under the sole authority of the General Rapporteur.
