Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi

Lauriane Lépine SarandiLauriane Lépine-Sarandi is appointed Deputy General Rapporteur at the Autorité de la concurrence, starting from 1 September 2019, by decision of the General Rapporteur, Stanislas Martin. She will head the antitrust unit 4 (in charge notably of the agricultural, banking and media sectors) succeeding Juliette Théry-Schultz, who was appointed Chief of the Legal Service at the Autorité de la concurrence in March 2019.

Biographical information about Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi

After obtaining among other diploma a DEA (Masters) in European Community Law at Université Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris I and a Professional Lawyer's Certificate (Certificat d'aptitude à la profession d'avocat – CAPA), Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi started her career as a lawyer in the competition department at White & Case LLP in 2005.  She joined the Autorité de la concurrence as a rapporteur within one of the antitrust units in 2011, then from February 2016, she was a rapporteur in the Mergers Unit. Since June 2017, she was Deputy Head of the Mergers Unit and notably led the review of the measures imposed on Canal + as part of the takeover of TPS, as well as the Salto case (OTT video platform project).
Lauriane is also one of the founders of the platform of competition law practitioners, WomenatCompetition France. She is among the award-winning women in the "40 in their 40s Notable Women Competition".

 

Gwenaëlle Nouët

gwenaelle_nouet Gwenaëlle Nouët is appointed Deputy General Rapporteur at the Autorité de la concurrence, starting from 15 October 2019, by decision of the General Rapporteur, Stanislas Martin. She will head the antitrust unit 5 (in charge notably of the healthcare and environment sectors) succeeding Sarah Subrémon.

Biographical information about Gwenaëlle Nouët

Holding a post-graduate degree in European business law, Gwenaëlle worked for two years in the mergers office at the DGCCRF and then, from 2001 to 2005, at the DG Comp, where she was in charge of merger cases. She joined the Autorité in 2005 as a Case Officer and then became Deputy Head of the Mergers Unit from November 2010. Gwenaëlle was General Rapporteur at the Polynesian Competition Authority, formed in 2016 et presided by Jacques Mérot. She contributed to the launching and the development of this new institution as well as its establishment in the Polynesian economic landscape.
