Catherine Gonzalez appointed Head of the Inspections Unit
of the Autorité de la concurrence

Catherine Gonzalez has been appointed Head of the Inspections Unit as of 1st April 2015 upon the decision of General Rapporteur, Virginie Beaumeunier.

This unit, composed of 9 people, plans and coordinates the dawn raids, deals with the litigation relating to those operations and analyses the investigation reports transmitted by the DGCCRF (Directorate General for Competition Policy, Consumer Affairs and Fraud Control) in order to recommend to the General Rapporteur the follow up required.

Catherine Gonzalez takes over from Christine Miller, who returns to the DGCCRF, where she is joining the Direccte Ile de France. The President of the Authority as well as the entire staff express their heartfelt thanks for the quality of her work and wish her every success in her future assignments.

Catherine Gonzalez is a graduate of the French National School for the Judiciary (Ecole Nationale de la Magistrature, ENM) and holds a DEA degree in Business Law as well as a DESS diploma in Corporate and Business Law. Mrs. Gonzalez previously held the positions of investigating judge at the Chaumont district court (1998-2002), and juvenile court judge in the Bobigny district court (2002-2006). She then became the Vice president of investigations and coordinator of the economic and financial unit at the Bobigny district court (2006-2012). Since 2012, she has been a permanent rapporteur at the Autorité de la concurrence.
