Isabelle Fenayrou has been appointed Vice-President of the Autorité de la concurrence by decree of the President of the Republic, replacing Fabienne Siredey-Garnier. The Autorité extends its warmest thanks to Fabienne Siredey-Garnier for all her work during her terms of office.

Biography

Isabelle Fenayrou holds a Master’s degree in Private Law (DEA) from Paris II Panthéon Assas University, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from King’s College London and is a graduate of École nationale de la magistrature (French National School for the Judiciary).

From 1999 to 2002, she first served as a criminal judge at the Lille General Court of First Instance (Tribunal de grande instance), before joining the Ministry of Justice as Head of the Legal Professions Regulation Unit between 2003 and 2005.

In 2006, she joined the Conseil de la concurrence as a case officer (rapporteur), before moving to the private sector as a partner in two law firms between 2008 and 2011.

In 2011, she returned to the public sector, first joining the General Secretariat of the Ministries for Social Affairs as an adviser on criminal matters and then, in 2013, becoming Director of the Analysis and Intelligence Department at the intelligence service Tracfin and a member of its Management Committee.

Between 2015 and 2023, she was successively appointed to the Inspectorate General of the City of Paris (Inspection générale de la Ville de Paris – IGVP) and the Inspectorate General of Justice (Inspection générale de la justice – IGJ).

Isabelle Fenayrou had been President of the Economic and Financial Regulation Chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal since 2023.
