Juliette Théry-Schultz is appointed Chief of the Legal Service at the Autorité de la concurrence

Juliette Théry Schultz, until now Deputy General Rapporteur at the Autorité de la concurrence, has been appointed Chief of the Legal Service at the Autorité. She will take up her position at the end of April.

She succeeds Henri Génin, previously Hearing advisor at the Autorité de la concurrence, then Chief of the Legal Service for 5 years. He joins the Versailles Court of Appeal (Cour d'appel de Versailles) as General Counsel. The Autorité welcomes his rigour, his exemplary professionalism and thank him for the quality of the work he accomplished. 

Biographical information about Juliette Théry-Schultz
Juliette Théry-Schultz is a Doctor of Laws specialising in civil contract law, following a defence thesis on the reciprocity in the execution of obligations and she holds a Professional Lawyer's Certificate (CAPA). Between 2004 and 2007, she was an Editor in the Department of Civil Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, in charge of developing the regulatory framework of the French code of commercial law (Code de commerce). She subsequently joined the erstwhile Conseil de la concurrence (that became the Autorité de la concurrence) as a Legal Adviser, working in the Legal Service, before becoming a Case Officer in February 2010, in charge of investigating cases in the payment sector. 
A national expert on secondment at the Directorate General for Competition (DG COMP) of the European Commission for antitrust units qualified for the payment sector and finance department between 2011 and 2013, Juliette Théry-Schultz was Deputy General Rapporteur at the Autorité. She was head of the unit in charge notably of the agricultural, banking and media sectors. She has been since last year, the overseas departments and regions' correspondent of the Autorité.
