Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi has been appointed Deputy Head of the Mergers Unit.
Mathieu Le Coq and Gaëlle le Breton have been appointed Deputy Heads of the Legal Unit.

Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi has been appointed Deputy Head of the Mergers Unit.

She succeeds Charles Bertin, who joined Arcep. The Autorité de la concurrence would like to express its most sincere thanks for the work he did as a rapporteur in the Mergers Unit and then as Deputy Head of the Mergers Unit. It wishes him every success in his future assignments at Arcep.

After obtaining among other diploma a DEA (Masters) in European Community Law at Université Panthéon-Sorbonne Paris I and a Professional Lawyer’s Certificate (Certificat d’aptitude à la profession d’avocat – CAPA), Lauriane Lépine-Sarandi started her career as a lawyer in the competition department at White & Case LLP in 2005.  She developed expertise in anticompetitive behaviour law and merger control in various economic sectors until she joined the Autorité de la concurrence as a rapporteur within one of the antitrust units in 2011. From February 2016, she was a rapporteur in the Mergers Unit. 
 
 


Mathieu Le Coq has been appointed Deputy to the Head of the Legal Unit Henri Génin. He succeeds Eric Briançon, who joined the Paris Administrative Court. The Autorité wishes him every success in his future assignments.

Mathieu le Coq, who holds a Professional Lawyer’s Certificate (Certificat d’aptitude à la profession d’avocat – CAPA), also obtained a professional Masters in Litigation of public entities (Master 2 professionnel Contentieux des personnes publiques, 2005) as well as a post-graduate degree in Procurement contract law and Public service delegation (DESS Marchés publics et délégations de service public, 2004). After practising as a lawyer specialized in public law (2006-2009), he was a reporting judge (2010-2014) and a public rapporteur (2014-2015) at the Paris Administrative Court.  Rapporteur at the Committee on Access to Administrative Documents (CAAD) between 2012 and 2014, he was a Referendaire within the Legal Unit of the Autorité de la concurrence since 2015.
 
 

Gaëlle Le Breton has been appointed Deputy to the Head of the Legal Unit Henri Génin. She succeeds Sarah Subrémon, appointed Deputy General Rapporteur of the Autorité de la concurrence (see the press release of 25 April 2017)

Holder of a post-graduate research degree (Diplôme d’études approfondies, DEA) in private law (1990) at Université  Panthéon – Sorbonne Paris I, Gaëlle Le Breton is also a graduate from the College of Europe in Bruges (1992) and the European University Institute in Florence (1993).  For eight years, she practiced as a competition lawyer in Paris and Brussels international lawyer offices, before joining the Autorité de la concurrence as a rapporteur within the Antitrust Unit 5 where she oversaw litigation cases and opinions. (2004).
