Nicolas Deffieux has joined the Investigation services as Deputy General Rapporteur. He replaces Sébastien Soriano who was appointed, last May, Chief of Staff of Fleur Pellerin, Deputy Industry Minister in charge of small and medium-sized enterprises, of innovation and of digital economy. The Autorité de la concurrence expresses its thanks to the latter for all of his work.

First in charge of “pricing issues” and then of “network assessment”, he became, in 2005, Chief of the “economic and competition analyses” unit. Then Deputy to the Director of Economics and Forward Planning in 2008, he became the Director of this service on 2009.

Under the leadership of Virginie Beaumeunier, General Rapporteur, he will head the Antitrust Unit 2.
