On 17 August 2020, Doctegestio notified the Autorité de la concurrence of its plan to solely take over the UMG-GHM clinics located in the Isère département and in the Rhône-Alpes Auvergne region.

Parties to the transaction

Doctegestio is active in the healthcare, medico-social, social and family tourism and real estate sectors, as well as in the new technology sector. In the healthcare sector, it manages several clinics, health centres, dental centres, optic centres, hearing centers, medical imaging centers in the Île-de-France, Normandie and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur regions.

The UMG-GHM is a mutual union which manages clinics and mostly the mutual hospital grroup of Grenoble, a private healthcare facility which is involved in the public hospital services.

The reviewed transaction is not liable to harm competition

Doctegestio is not present in the markets of diagnostic and hopsital care offers in the Isère département and in the Rhône-Alpes Auvergne region.

In the framework of the analysis of the impact of the transaction, in view – among other factors- of the implementation of a care pathway planned by the buyer, the Autorité de la concurrence was able to rule out any competition concern in consideration of the limited position of the parties in the markets relevant to the transaction.

The Autorité thus cleared the transaction without conditions.
